Office Elf was my own business venture in which I provided contract bookkeeping and accounting services to local businesses.
Job Description
- Services included budget compilations, payroll administration, administration of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping functions and set up of administrative systems and processes
- Marketed and promoted the business by setting up a website and approaching potential customers; gained further business through word of mouth and referrals
- Developed a strong customer orientation and communication skills from managing all aspects of the client relationship
- Frequently worked on the client premises and quickly became familiar with a wide variety of accounting systems and software
