Job Description
  • Prepared and maintained monthly management accounts, financial records and budgets
  • Prepared monthly Profit and Loss variance analysis and associated commentaries
  • Analysed operating results, explanation of variances, trend and year to date reporting
  • Audited Profit and Loss reports submitted by sales teams
  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Completed weekly and monthly inventory reports and analysis of variances and aged stock
  • Monitored and evaluated inventory control processes
  • Ownership of the month end closing process
  • Completed monthly intercompany reconciliations and payments in multiple currencies.
  • Completed revaluations of foreign exchange transactions
  • Managed payroll – ensured calculations were correct and accurately recorded
  • Liaised with outsourced parties on reconciliation of Statutory Accounts
  • Liaised with both internal and external auditors on completion of annual audits
  • Used the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and accounting system software at an advanced level
  • Oversaw the work of a Finance Assistant and Accounts Payable administrator

Key Achievement

On commencing the role, it was found that several balance sheet accounts had not been reviewed or reconciled correctly. I was able to successfully reconcile over 40 complex accounts inside 2 months.

  • Assisted with the migration of accounting systems from MS Dynamics SL to MS Dynamics AX ERP.
  • Was able to develop a good understanding of the business and business processes and as a result was promoted to the role of accountant in less than 2 years.
